GUILD RULES
Bring It On Cupcake Guild is a team. That team requires teamwork. Teams need rules to make sure play is as impartial as possible (notice I did not say "fair". Life is not "fair" and neither is WoW). Teams have stars that come and go as well as bench warmers and utility players. They have front office personnel, management and owners. This team has all that and more BUT we have fun at it. These rules are to keep that element of fun in our team.
Any recent updates to the rules will be highlighted in yellow below. Feel free to contact STREBORAHP or any other member if you have thoughts or suggestions about these.
Any violation of these rules requires an immediate appearance in the Bring It On Cupcake Guild Court (i.e. guild chat) to be judged by current online guild members who witnessed the offense with final judgment reserved for the 2/3rds majority of online senior guild officers (Raider and above) present. If no officers are present then you may report the offender to STREBORAHP. Appeals may also be filed with STREBORAHP the Guild Leader.
1. General Rules
- First and foremost...HAVE FUN!
- Remember that you represent the Guild as well as yourself.
- Be willing to help others.
- If you commit to help someone for a quest or to run a dungeon, make sure you have the time to complete it or make arraignments with your party member PRIOR to starting that help if you have limited time. Courtesy goes a long way in teamwork.
- "Grinding" is required in this Guild (and inevitable in the game) so NO BEGGING OR LEECHING!
- No spamming any chat channels ever.
- No stealing kills, mining, herbs or skinning. If in doubt ask that player next to you in the game FIRST!
- Respect other players.
- Offensive chat of any nature will not be tolerated in any chat channel. However, all "considerate" taunting is excluded from this rule and expected. :-)
- Drama between Guild members will be tried in "THE GUILDEOPLES COURT". (i.e. guild chat) to be judged by current online guild members who witnessed the offense with final judgment reserved for the 2/3rds majority of online senior guild officers (Raider and above) present. If no officers are present then you may report the offender to STREBORAHP. Appeals may also be filed with STREBORAHP the Guild Leader.
- Any character who hasn't logged into the game for any length of time will not be removed from the Guild at this time (subject to change). Please let STREBORAHP know via igmail if you are going to be absent for any period of time over 14 days.
- Be willing to help others.
- If a Guild member needs help and you aren't busy, then please help them.
- This Guild can contribute in helping you power level. We will help you when you're stuck with advice and, when needed, with a group. Remember, we are grinders, not beggars OR leeches.
- All Guild members are requested (but not required) to install dbCraft. This will help you to get an enchant done or have a crafted item made. Want to know who in the guild can do it? dbCraft stores that information and lets you access it in-game. (Only shows other Guild members who have it installed as well).
2. Guild Recruiting
- Anyone can solicit someone to this Guild in a one-on-one manner. Also, anyone can invite and admit them to the Guild. Any member can refer someone for invite as well.
- Mass-Recruiting Campaigns in chat channels can be done by anyone but not any more frequent then 15 minutes. We want to be kind to our fellow players. Not acquire a reputation for annoying them.
- Please take the time to get to know who you are recruiting. All new Recruits will be the responsibility of the guildie recruiting until such time as they have been promoted above Private.
- Do your best to provide guidance and support to your new recruit. You are not expected to "babysit"" them though. Teach them to use the tools necessary to learn the game and then turn them loose.
3. Guild Instance Runs
- Priority for instance runs/group quests will be given to those scheduled in the ig calendar. Otherwise any requests will be at the discretion of the Guild members and there are no expectations given if this has not been scheduled. We do our best to help, but we also need to respect each others time. Using ig calendar will make things run more smoothly.
- If you have difficulties getting other members to sign-up for your run, then please notify a Guild Officer.
- Instances help members not only level and upgrade gear but also to learn how to work as a team. This also gives us the opportunity to gather gear and items for the Guild Bank that can be used to help all Guild members. The more resources we have available to us, the easier it'll become for us all to excel.
- Prior to starting a run you should:
1. Confirm that all party/raid members can complete the run by setting a realistic length of time for it. Make adjustments to your play if all parties can not stay to the end.
2. Share quests among party/raid memebers to get the maximum loot/XP/money.
3. Buff all party members appropriately.
4. Determine who has what role in the run i.e., Run Leader, Tank(s), Healbot(s), MT, OT, DSP, etc.
5. What loot process you are using i.e., Group Loot, Round Robin, etc. Then announce it in party chat channel. - A member can roll NEED on any item as long as they have informed the party before doing so on items that are direct upgrades. It is best to do this BEFORE the instance starts but may not always be possible. If you discover you want to "need" something during the run, ask in party chat or on vent BEFORE you "need" it.
4. Groups and Parties
5. Guild Bank
- Do not take items from the bank just to sell them. People contribute items in the hopes they can be used not just sold for quick gold.
- All ranks have deposit and view rights. Item withdrawal is based on Guild rank as details are described in the Bank link at the top of this page.
- All ranks are encouraged to contribute to the Guild bank as much as they would like as well has how much they can practically afford. Since we are growing and because we have so many members now and so many lowbies that we are helping, any contributions are greatly appreciated.
- Effective immediately ALL guild members (regardless of rank) are required to deposit every day that they play at least one of the following items into the gbank:
1 looted item OR 1 consumable item OR 1 gold
This is to occur once every calendar day that you play. So, just to be clear, not every time you login for that day. Just once on the days that you play. These items will be helping others in the Guild to level or skill up. That is a good thing for all of us. Helping each other is a requirement of this Guild.
As always, any questions or comments can be sent to STREBORAHP via igchat or igmail.
- STREBORAHP, Guild Leader
