INSTANCES
So, you got DPS, you make THAT armor look good, and gosh darn it people like you. But that party happens and your invitation is nowhere in sight. Maybe it's your game play? Lets face it. We all want to have fun but not be labeled a noob or a jerk. So with that in mind, here are some links to click on to understand grouping in the game. A Group is a game mechanic for WoW with the ability to show information, loot, experience and many other things. Groups also allow for various settings and leadership roles. There are two types of groups: * Party A party (a type of group) is a collection of Player characters that can communicate amongst each other privately (see chat), share XP, and manage the distribution of loot from any mobs party members kill. * Raid Raids are parties of 6-40 people divided into 2-8 groups of up to 5 players. The terms raid and raiding primarily and traditionally refer to PVE raid-specific instances and zones. If you're the party leader, you can convert your group into a raid group by accessing your "Social" Panel, selecting 'Raid' and choosing "Convert Group to Raid." From then on, anyone you invite will join your raid group (up to a maximum of 40). Keep in mind that raid groups do not receive quest rewards unless the quest calls for a raid. This is to prevent people from creating very large groups in order to do normal quests that do not need raid groups to complete. You also receive an experience reduction for any killing you do in a raid group. Again, this is to prevent people for using raid groups in situations where normal groups should be sufficient. This experience reduction is simply that you do not get the usual "group XP bonus" that you get when sharing XP in a Party group. Here are some helpful guides to get you you started: 1. GROUPING GUIDE FOR NEW PLAYERS This guide will show you all there is to know about grouping. It’s designed to be of assistance to someone just buying the game, and also to provide tips, hints, and strategies for players. Any team play is obviously founded on the skills of the individual players as well as the power and skills of their characters. However, the strategies used to apply those skills as a team are as important to the success of the team as their individual skills. This guide will help. "Raiding" in this article will mean "running instances with 20 or more people". Technically, 10 man runs are raids too, but they need much less organization, devotion and discipline than the big raids. Graphic list of current instances by level.
