GUILD RANKS

Bring It On Cupcake Guild is a team. That team requires teamwork. Teams need rules to make sure play is as impartial as possible (notice I did not say "fair". Life is not "fair" and neither is WoW). Teams have stars that come and go as well as bench warmers and utility players. They have front office personnel, management and owners (you get the idea). This team has all that and more BUT we have fun at it. These rules are to keep that element of fun in our team and to minimize any effect of potential ninja's and drama.

Any recent updates to the content below will be highlighted in yellow below. Feel free to contact STREBORAHP or any other officer if you have thoughts or suggestions about these. Here are some rules that apply to all Guild members:

1. No Guild member gets promoted from the rank of PRIVATE until they have done BOTH of the following:

- registered on the website as a user
- filled out a Guild Application on the website and it is approved by the Guild Leader

2. Every Guild Member has the ability to invite members at this time.

3. Promotion to a Senior Officer from a lower rank is only granted after some time has been spent with the GUILD LEADER in the Guild performing tasks like runs and raids in the game. Promotion (or demotion if it applies for discipline handed out by the Bring It On Cupcake Guild Court) is only performed by the rank of GUILD LEADER.

Guild ranks defined:

GUILDMASTER:

  • GUILD LEADER

    In short, the Bring It On Cupcake Guild requires of the rank of Guild Leader that they must lead from the front with the troops and not from the rear. The Bring It On Cupcake Guild recognizes that no one person can do it all. Some tasks below can be assigned to highly trusted Officers but oversight of the entire Guild is solely the Guild Leaders responsibility.

    The rank of Guild Leader also sets the tone, look and feel of the Guild. In this Guild they are required to be both "in the trenches" as well as performing "figurehead" duties. They perform the highest level of maintenance because the game (in some case) assigns them sole authority to perform some tasks that cannot be assigned to anyone else in the game.

    1. Solely committed to this Guild and this Guild only with all their Alliance characters running on this realm (Kilrogg) and all Alliance characters are to be members of this Guild only (there can be very rare exceptions to this).

    2. Maintains the Guild website exclusively for the Guild only. Makes sure that website is paid for. Makes sure that website is updated at least once a week.

    3. Maintains Guild Bank on a daily basis. Sells "stale" or massively duplicated items in the gbank at least 3 times a week (these tasks can be assigned but oversight is solely this ranks responsibility).

    The following list comes to us via the WoW website for Guild Management and Guild Leadership.

    * Recount
    * Deadly Boss Mods
    * LocationFu
    * Omen or KLHThreatMeter

SENIOR OFFICERS:

  • RAID CAPTAIN

    This is an earned rank and the highest non-casual rank in this Guild. This rank has proven it's commitment to the Guild and to scheduling, organizing, leading and running "eog" raid instances for Kara and beyond. The expectations of the rank of Raid Captain are:

    1. Must be a level 80 (alts of another Raid Captain toon might be an exception).

    2. Contributes to the gbank at every online session.

    3. Actively organizes and runs at least 1 Heroic instance per week.

    4. Participates in Guild instance runs on a regular basis.

    5. Participates in all runs they sign up for.

    6. Takes responsibility for their consumables.

    7. Runs the following addons (or comparable ones at a minimum):

    * Cartographer Complete
    * Recount
    * Omen or KLHThreatMeter
    * Deadly Boss Mods

  • RAID CHAMPION

    This is an earned rank and the second highest non-casual rank in this Guild. This rank has proven it's commitment to the Guild and to scheduling, organizing, leading and running Kara instances and beyond. Once a member has decided that they wish to take on an active roll in running Kara raid instances they are promoted to the rank of Raid Champion. A rank of Raid Champion will have the following requirements:

    1. Must be a level 68 or higher.

    2. Contributes to the gbank at every online session.

    3. Actively organizes and runs at least 1 raid per week.

    4. Participates in Guild instance runs on a regular basis.

    5. Participates in all runs they sign up for. I understand that RL can sometimes affect this. Part of running any raid instances is being able to make a commitment to the other members of the Guild. A Raid Champion will find another Raider Champion as a substitute if they can not keep their commitment for that event.

    6. Takes responsibility for their consumables.

    7. Runs the following addons (or comparable ones at a minimum):

    * Cartographer Complete
    * Recount
    * Omen or KLHThreatMeter
    * Deadly Boss Mods

  • RAIDER

    This is an earned rank and the third highest rank in the Guild. This is also the rank now exclusively reserved for active members who are working towards Kara and other EOG elements of the game. This is also the transition rank for members who are interested in running raid instances. These members will have to display their commitment to the Guild as a Raider before being promoted to higher ranks. There is an expectation that any Raider looking to be promoted will be working on their gear, rep and skills. A good measure of Raider readiness will be regular Guild instance runs and willingness to assist other Guild members of any level. The requirements of a Raider are:

    1. Must be a level 68 or higher.

    2. Contributes to the gbank at every online session.

    3. Required to participate/organize at least one Guild instance or Group run per week.

    4. Participates in Guild instance runs on a regular basis.

    5. Participates in all runs they sign up for or organize. RL can sometimes affect this. Part of running any raid instances is being able to make a commitment to the other members of the Guild. A Raider will find another Guild member as a substitute if they can not keep their commitment for that event.

    6. Takes responsibility for their consumables.

    7. Is actively working on Kara and/or other EOG elements.

    8. Runs the following addons (or comparable ones at a minimum):

    * Cartographer Complete
    * Recount
    * Omen or KLHThreatMeter
    * Deadly Boss Mods

JUNIOR OFFICERS:

  • KNIGHTS CAPTAIN

    - A casual rank assigned to all level 80's in recognition of their hard work and for their gbank permissions. This is the highest casual rank within our Guild.

  • LIEUTENANT

    - A casual rank assigned to all lvls 60 - 79 in recognition of their hard work and for their gbank permissions.

ENLISTED:

  • MAJOR

    - A casual rank assigned to all lvls 40 - 59 in recognition of their hard work and for their gbank permissions.

  • SERGEANT

    - A casual rank assigned to all lvls 20 - 39 in recognition of their hard work and for gbank permissions.

  • CORPORAL

    - A casual rank assigned to all lvl 1 - 19 in recognition of their very hard work in learning the game from scratch for some, or the ability to be twinked to lvl 20 in 2 days for others. LOL Oh...and for gbank permissions.

  • PRIVATE

    - our entry level rank assigned to all levels for the first few days. ALL new invitees to the guild serve a mandatory probationary period (exceptions can occur at the discretion of the Guild leader). This is the time we spend getting to know you AND you getting to know the Guild. This gives the Private and the Guild a chance to determine if there's a good fit or not.

    - all Guild members (regardless of level) that do not contribute to the Guild Bank every time they log on, upon review, will get demoted to Private. This is not punishment. This is just to distinguish who is currently committed to supporting the Guild team and making sure that no one suddenly decides to ninja the gbank without contributing.

As always, any comments or suggestions are always welcome. Just send them to STREBORAHP through igmail.

- STREBORAHP, Guild Leader
